Issue 19 of Mollie Makes features a retro telephone appliqué project by the lovely Poppy Treffry. So, to celebrate this, we’ve teamed up with Poppy to offer one lucky Mollie Makes reader a chance to win a place on her fantastic freehand machine embroidery course!

Poppy Treffry’s one-day course will take place from 10-5pm on Wednesday 31 October 2012, near Penzance, West Cornwall. The lucky winner will spend the morning getting to grips with the freehand embroidery technique and playing with the machines (while indulging in a lovely cup of tea, natch).

Then, after a delicious lunch, you’ll get to work on a project, such as a tea cosy or a cushion. Everyone should leave the day with a finished item and bucketloads of inspiration!
