You will need:
• Gutermann topstitch thread in red and white
• 1.5mm crochet hook
• Soft toy stuffing
• Embroidery needle
• Pipe cleaners

How to make micro candy cane

Make the candy cane

Using white thread make a magic ring, 6dc into the ring. (6sts)

Rnd 1 *dc in the first st, 2dc in the next st. Repeat * to end. (9sts)
Change to red thread at the end of this round and start the stripy pattern: two rounds red and two rounds white. Keep colour changes to the back of your work
Rnd 2-26 dc to end remembering to change ever two rows to continue stipe pattern.
Rnd 27 *dc2tog, dc in the next st. Repeat from * to end. (6sts)


Fasten off and stuff with a piece of pipe cleaner, then cut remaining off. Sew the opening shut to secure.
