Macramé: Make a Plant Hanger

Everyone seems to be trying out macramé at the mo, so why not get on board? In this workshop you’ll find out how to craft a plant hanger which you can then fill with a pretty potted succulent when you get home. Choose from a variety of different coloured yarns to make sure your plant hanger matches your home.

Clay Beads ‘n’ Buttons

It’s always good to have a stash of beads and buttons, particularly when you’ve made them yourself! During this workshop you can sculpt, press mould, stamp and cut out a variety of unique buttons and beads. They’ll look great sewn to cushions and bags or added to necklaces. All materials are provided.

Sew Over It Dressmaking Weekend

A whole weekend of dressmaking? Yes please! This two-day course is aimed at beginner sewists looking to develop their dressmaking skills. Taking place at Lisa Comfort’s gorgeous sewing café in Clapham, you’ll see a huge difference in your stitchy skills after the weekend. You’ll come away with two garments – a full circle skirt and shift dress – that you’ve made from scratch, and improved knowledge about how to work a pattern to make your own clothes.

Craft Scotland Summer Show Workshops: Hand Appliqué Tropical Bloom Earrings with Emily Millichip

Join designer Emily Millichip for a tutorial in hand-appliqué. Emily will show you how to make a bespoke pair of supersize tropical flower earrings in felt or leather, perfect for sunny summer days. The workshop is part of the Craft Scotland Summer Show, a selling exhibition throughout August that showcases contemporary craftsellers, so you can do a spot of shopping while you’re there too.

Make Your Own Ankle-tie Espadrilles

Learn how to make your own ankle-tie espadrilles, as seen in issue 81 of Mollie Makes! Bring your own fabric (for a reduced ticket price) or craft yours with fabric from London Craft Club. Teacher Suzie Kemner will teach you a variety of skills to take you from beginner to espadrille-making whizz. You’ll start with a square of fabric and signature soles and leave with one finished espadrille, plus everything you need to make your second one.

Social Slam: Instagram Workshop  – Craft & Design

Make A Romper Suit

Learn how to make a super-cute romper suit for your little one in this workshop with The Craft Studio. You can craft one with a handy pocket or with tiny ties and can make it in various sizes.
