It’s Christmaaaaaaaas (well, almost!) which means it’s time for festive fairs. We’ve found the finest selection of UK craft fairs taking place in December.

We’ve got everything from a floating fair (really), to a crafty event in a castle and pop-up markets across the UK.

Crafty Vintage: Festive Market at Brockholes

We like our craft fairs quirky, and this one doesn’t disappoint. It’s held in the floating (yes, floating) Visitor Village, in the picturesque setting of a nature reserve. The fair’s all about vintage, handmade, retro, and collectibles, with an eclectic mix of more than 50 creative folk, peddling their wares just for us. There’ll be food stalls and a gin bar for a well-deserved break from all that shopping. You could take a bird-watching break too.

Etsy Made Local

Etsy Made Local 2017

For one weekend this Christmas, you can shop from your local Etsy sellers in person. Etsy Made Local is an initiative run by Etsy sellers and supported by the online marketplace. There’ll be pop-up markets in over 40 towns and cities across England, Wales and Scotland, with plenty of unique, handmade gifts on offer.

Festive Market at Bristol Folk House

Oh the weather outside is frightful, but the festive market is so delightful. Pop in, warm up, grab a mince pie, and have a holly jolly good time. There’ll be stalls from around 20 local makers, plus vintage items, cosmetics and bric-a-brac. You can treat your ears to some live piano music too. High five to the Folk House.

So This Is Christmas!

Over 70 makers have come together for a craft fair in aid of St Barnabas House, an independent hospice in Worthing, West Sussex. There’ll be prints, jewellery, cards, knitted items, decs and vintage accessories on offer. You’ll get a warm, fuzzy feeling from your purchases, and from supporting something good too. There’ll be a live choir and plenty of activities for little ones as well.

Catch the new kids on the block at Crafty Fox Market, where you’ll find loads of emerging designer-makers – 60 each day, to be exact. Get there early to fit them all in. We’ve got our eye on Milk Tooth LDN, and Keeler & Sidaway. Take part in free workshops too, one where you can design a Christmas gift box, and another where kids can make their own cardboard character. DJs will also be on hand to provide the soundtrack to your day. Can’t make the market? It’s all good! There’s another one in Brixton on 2nd – 3rd December.

Five Castle Christmas Fair

Fyvie Castle Christmas Fair

Someone, somewhere, had a think about what could make a Christmas craft fair that bit more special. Oh yes, a magical castle in Scotland should do it. We don’t know if we’re more excited about the castle or the crafts. Fyvie will be transformed into a festive treat, with art and craft stalls in every room, carol singers, roaring fires, and Santa in the billiards room. Expect jewellery, ornaments, ceramics, felted wares, and sculptures over three epic days.

Crack Crimbo shopping like a pro, and get it all it all wrapped up in one weekend. Renegade is back in London town for the seventh year running, with two days full of crafts and creativity. There’ll be 200 plus makers, immersive special features, DIY workshops, delicious food and drink, plus lively music. Catch established makers and some exciting newbies.
