Yarn-wrapped wreath

Over the next twelve days we’ll be sharing festive projects, videos and inspiration; a new post each day until Christmas. Today, a yarn-wrapped wreath

Looking for a super-quick and easy Christmas project? Presenting… the yarn-wrapped wreath! Simply choose a size and colour scheme that works best for you and we’ll get started!

You’ll need:

• A polystyrene wreath

• One ball of chunky soft knit yarn (or two if you choose the largest size wreath)

• A selection of felted shapes and balls

• Glue

• Scissors

Step one:

Tie the yarn around the wreath securely to start. Now wrap the yarn around it making sure the strands are pulled fairly tight. Align the strands close together for a neat and even coverage.

Step two:

Once wrapped, snip and tuck the end into the back of the wreath.Cut a short strand of yarn, fold it in half and pin it to the back of your wreath. You’ll use this to hang it once finished.

Step three:

Arrange the felt shapes on your wreath. When you’re happy with the position glue it into place. Now hang on a door or wall near you for a festive feel.
