We love a pattern and a magazine (*cough our Mollie Makes cough*) as much as the next person but sometimes we’re after something a little more visual. Cue craft videos! There’s tons of videos and influencers on Youtube all with a passion for crafting. We have a long list of craft Youtubers we watch but we thought we’d list our fave 12 craft videos and channels you need to subscribe to ASAP.
Beautiful crafty videos which focus on papercraft? Right up our street. Being Artistic’s channel is as visually pleasing as it is informative!
WithWendy’s channel is a sewist’s dream. Every week she shows you how to make different popular high street items such as mini rucksacks, crop tops, rompers and skirt suits. But, she’s not just a sewist. Her craft videos range from trying out new crafts to teaching you the basics. Plus she’s just lovely!
Of course, we had to put ourselves in here somewhere. The Mollie Makes Youtube channel is full of craft videos and tutorials including this one which teaches you how to crochet a granny square. If you need some granny square patterns to practise on we’ve got one here and one here on the blog.
We dare you to find a more beautiful card making channel than Kristina Werner’s. Stamping, glitter shaker cards and ink ombre – her craft videos’ll show you how to create amazing artistic cards.
Chantel Conlon, aka LotsofKnots, is a Canadian macramé designer. Her craft videos are some of the most useful we’ve found, teaching you intricate macramé knots, mini macramé projects and even giving business advice. We especially love her video which shows you how to weave different colours through your macramé (you know how we feel about colour!).
Ok, this one is less informative and more adorably hypnotic. Miniature Potteryミニチュア陶芸 has a channel that is full of miniature pottery videos. It’s the craft channel you didn’t know you needed.
We’re all aiming to be more eco-friendly in our crafting, which is why we’ve created a sustainable craft video! Learn how to turn plastic bags into yarn that you can knit, plait and weave with.
Amanda Garvin, AKA A Crafty Passion, makes the ultimate DIY craft videos. Whether it’s needle felting, bedroom makeovers or Christmas decorations she’s got a video for you.
Make your own sketchbook or notepad with our bookbinding tutorial.
We’ve worked with the amazing Tilly and the Buttons before (remember our sewing pattern collab?) and are big fans of their sewing videos on Youtube. Sometimes reading patterns can be difficult, especially if you’re a beginner, so following along patterns with Tilly’s videos makes it a whole lot easier.
Amanda Rach Lee’s calligraphy and bullet journalling channel is so relaxing to watch. Not only are her brush strokes extremely calming, but her craft videos also show you how to draw, design and doodle to your heart’s content.
Finally on our craft videos list is Happy Berry’s crochet channel. If you love tiny crochet foxes, pigs and vampires (yep, Halloween crochet is featured), then this is the channel for you.
