You will need:

• 2 balls of DMC Natura XL Cotton yarn. We used two colours for this project (yarn A and B). Try colour combination: 07 & 09 or 71 & 42
• Crochet hook, size 8
• Scissors

How to make a crochet pot

Creating the base

Start with a centre ring: Using colour A make a slip knot then chain 5. Sl st to join, creating a 5ch ring. 8dc into the centre of your ring. Sl st into first dc to join.

Now you begin working in the round. Tip! Use a contrasting coloured bit of yarn or a stitch marker to keep track of your round start/end.

Round 1

Ch (counts as turning chain). *1dc, 2dc, 1dc, 1dc into consecutive stitch spaces, Repeat from * until you reach the end of the round. Sl st to join. [12sts]

Round 2

Ch (counts as turning chain). *1dc, 2dc, 1dc, 1dc into consecutive stitch spaces. Repeat from * until you reach the end of the round. Sl st to join. [20sts]

Round 3

*1dc, 2dc, 1dc, 1dc, 2dc, 1dc, 1dc, 2dc. Repeat from * until you reach the end. [27sts]
