We’re so looking forward to a crafty extravaganza this September at The Handmade Fair – a weekend of making, shopping and learning, all in one gorgeous setting
The Handmade Fair is back this September! We’re thrilled to be media partners again for a second year, and the whole team are coming along (with a few creative friends) to meet you in Hampton Court Palace’s beautiful grounds for another fun weekend of craft.
Following on from an incredible first show last year, Kirstie Allsopp will be returning to host the country’s most hands-on craft event from 18-20 September. She’ll be there each day to present a selection of workshops, entertaining interviews, make and takes, plus all the shopping and fabulous food you can manage!
This isn’t your average craft market. The Super Theatre alone is worth your entrance fee with top names in the industry such as Will Taylor of Bright.Bazaar, Annie Sloan and Chinelo Bally taking to the stage to share tips, stories and experience. The Mollie Makes Mash Ups will also be returning (we’re told due to popular demand!) for a Ready-Steady-Craft-Off between crafty disciplines, turning run-of-the-mill supplies into customised showstoppers you can recreate at home.
A ticket entitles you to so much more. Your day out will include entry to a Super Theatre session, a Skills Workshop, one ‘Grand Make’ – a craft banquet if you will, with 300 other crafters – plus access to the boutique shopping village and artisan food and drink stands. If you really want to treat yourself and your pals, limited VIP tickets also include goodie bags, bubbles with Kirstie, front row seating, afternoon tea and more.
Take a look at the full line up over at www.thehandmadefair.com and have a nosey at the participatory projects you can book a place
on including everything from making your own fascinators and lampshades to gift-wrapping, pom pom festooning and Christmas crackers. Sessions are starting to fill up, so be quick! It’s a wonderful day out and we had a ball last year. Come and join us.
