Moodboard Monday: Hedgehogs

You’ve probably gathered that we heart hedgehogs (have you seen our latest cover?)… And to honour that most spiky and turned-up-of-snout of creatures, we hand you our Monday Moodboard to celebrate the hedgehog…

Top row, left to right: What an up-do! Nestle a baby hedgehog in your hair and you’re all set for autumn fun. Or maybe just don one of these super-lovely hedgehog inspired felt brooches by Alina Bunaciu from Hanaletters. There are so many to choose from, we think she’s got a thing about hedgehogs too. Hedgehog teatowel from one of our all-time fav stores, Anthropologie. Need we say more? And we love this vintage 60s hedgehog toothpick holder, available from Vintage Modern and More.

Middle row: Stunning, stunning, stunning fairisle pattern featuring the spiky ones. This fab sweater was spotted on Kate Davies’ blog, and designed by Momo. The hedgehog fairisle pattern can be found for free on Ravelry. Or how about this soft and cuddly lambswool hedgehog toy? He can hibernate the night away with you, because he’s nice and soft! Designed and made by Sara Carr

Bottom row: A simple embroidery kit would be the perfect way to incorporate a little hedgehog magic into your home. This kit is from Alyssa Thomas from Penguin and Fish. Or invite woodland antics into your kitchen, courtesy of Lianne Mellor, of Mellorware, who illustrates a fab range of woodland creatures who feature on teatowels and ceramics. This Maypole Dancer teatowel is so fun. Or for the everyday, how about this great hedgehog tote bag, eco-friendly and with a gorgeous hedgehog illustration, from Square Paisley Design. We say hedgehog tote bag, but we don’t mean they’re for carrying rescued creatures, but that canvas does look quite heavy duty.
