Crafts Day at the Museum of London

Head to the Museum of London on Saturday 1st October for a day of craft and creativity. Sign up to hands-on workshops to make an origami lampshade, concrete jewellery or English paper piecing makes. It’s a great opportunity to try a new craft, plus you’ll have an amazing finished make to take home with you. Sessions cost £36 each, and you can find multi-buy options online.

Make it: origami lampshade

A brand new origami-style workshop using the same materials as a traditional drum lampshade, metal fixings and fabric backed on to stiff vinyl. This lampshade is far tougher than paper but it folds and creases just like origami. Choose one of our two new designs and we will give you all the professional standard materials you need to create a unique piece, delivered by London Craft Club, who will lead you through every step of the process. All materials are included, although you can bring your own fabric and trimmings to achieve a specific finished look. No previous experience needed. Book now

Make it: concrete jewellery

A modern take on craft. Design, cast and finish your own piece of pared back concrete jewellery with London Craft Club and guest expert and jewellery designer Rhiannon Palmer. All materials included. No previous experience needed. Book now

Make it: English paper piecing

This hands-on workshop offers a modern twist on the traditional English paper piecing technique; these are not your gran’s hexies! Learn the techniques you need to create your own paper pieced, quilted and bound coasters. All materials included. No previous experience needed. Book now
