Adriana Torres (aka Miga de Pan) will be leading a 2-day embroidery workshop in the gorgeous Sheafhayne Manor in Devon. Crafty Fox Market, Brixton
Join Crafty Fox Market as they return to their original home at the Dogstar, bringing together an ever-changing line up of creative traders selling an exciting range of homeware, ceramics, textiles, jewellery, art-prints and gifts. Both days will see a fresh batch of makers showcasing almost 100 traders over the weekend and forms part of the Brixton Design Trail.

DMC Pink Ribbon
DMC are crowd-crafting a giant pink ribbon to raise money and awareness for The Pink Ribbon Foundation at Kirstie Allsopp’s The Handmade Fair at Hampton Court Palace this September. We’re all getting involved and we’d love you to make your own little pink project to join the fun. Stitch, knit, crochet or sew a pink project, no bigger than 10cm square, share your project online using #MyDMCpink and take it to The Handmade Fair on 16 September. You’ll then have chance to pin it to a giant pink ribbon at the fair. Can’t make it? Send your project to DMC! Don’t forget to donate to the Pink Ribbon Foundation too if you can, even a small donation will help.

Origami Mobile workshop with Misa Kanno
Together with the Scottish Maritime Museum, as part of the summer exhibition ‘The Paper Boat’, expert paper-folder Misa Kanno will be delivering a sea-themed origami session for makers of all ages. Craft everything from paper boats and sea shells to whales and fishes, which you’ll then gently sew on a wooden twig to make a beautiful hanging mobile.

After teaching Kirstie Allsopp how to make these feathered friends, Jayne Emerson’s needlefelting workshops have become increasingly popular. “They are very simple to make and it’s a great way to get familiar with needle felting.
