Doodling. It’s good for the mind and the soul, keeping your hands busy while your mind wanders. And, even if that drawing is of your pet cat, each little sketch is as much an expression of your creativity as picking up a crochet hook or knitting needles.
Doodling is a staple part of our day at Mollie Makes (just check out our to-do lists) so we couldn’t resist taking part in National Doodle Day. Created by Epilepsy Action, September 21st is a day to celebrate illustrators and designers from around the world, all with the aim of raising awareness for their amazing cause – providing advice and guidance for those with epilepsy and their families.
They’ll also be holding a charity auction on the 21st, selling work from huge artists such as Grayson Perry, Lauren Beard and Peter Bailey. The money raised will go to funding their vital community support groups, making sure no-one ever feels alone.
Coupling Californian beach vibes with sassy feminist quotes, Jacqueline’s work makes for unique totes, prints and papers, and some serious eye candy. Not only will she be posting her designs on our feeds, she’ll also be holding a Q&A on our Instagram Stories. Head over this Friday (21st) and ask her everything you wanted to know about the world of illustration, and what it’s like to doodle for a living.
