The festive season is a magical time of year with so many wonderful opportunities to impress your guests, but it can also be pretty expensive. Enjoy the party as much as everyone else and decorate like a pro with these easy DIY décor and entertaining ideas that cost next to nothing!
Spoil your guests by serving them adorable bauble cocktail welcome drinks in coupe glasses for them to pour when ready.
Impress the kids by dipping the rim of cups into melted chocolate, then covering with sprinkles.
Make decorative snowy trees by rolling card into cones and adorning them with glitter, sparkly twine and cute little pom poms. They look wonderful grouped together on the dining table and don’t have to be in traditional colours either. Think outside the box for a modern festive look!
Baubles can be expensive, so if you want the designer look without the price tag, how about using paper honeycomb balls and artificial flowers instead? They’re much cheaper, plus you can use them all year round.

Why not spray paint toy cars and fix miniature brush trees to the top using twine? They make great little decorative pieces and you can hang them on your tree, too!
Cover cardboard letters with faux fur for cosy yet chic mantlepiece décor.
Take your treats out of their boxes and serve them in clear glass jars for a beautiful display. Wrap fairy lights around the bottom for an extra helping of shine and sparkle.
Make your own bar or milk and cookies cart by using a tea trolley or covering a small table in festive cloth. Add glasses, drinks, straws, treats, some festive decorations and you’re away! It’ll make your job as host easier too.
Spray paint miniature bottles of your guests’ favourite drinks for low-cost impressive gifts. And, add name tags and they’ll double up as place cards for your table.
