Best of red, white and blue
Red, white and blue fabrics. Very royal, very nautical, and very patriotic (that’s if you live in the UK, US, or, um, France). We’re not that up on our flags of the world, but we do know it’s a classic colour combo. It’s the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee this weekend and we’re getting in the mood. To get things started, here’s some Fabric Friday inspiration to prove that red, white and blue looks cool. Don’t just save it for high days and bunting days…
1. Just loving this red geometric print cushion by Moira Neilson of Paleochic. Those chevron stripes are so very now, and look crisp and chic against the plain linen pillow. 2. We’d also love to get our hands on one of these great embroidered rosettes from Murga Troyd and Bean. The slogans are perfect for royal occasions. 3. Oooh, lovely red, white and blue seersucker vintage fabric from Selvedge Shop. This looks as fresh as ever, and you could make something so cute with it. 4. An adorable repurposed Mable Lucie Atwell children’s hankie from the Queen’s Coronation is the centrepiece of this joyful cushion with a pom pom trim. Cushion made by Zelda Burborough of Arty and Bella. 5. And finally, turn up to a jubilee party in this little number and it will definitely be a case of red, white and ooh. (American friends, you can try this out on the 4th July!) Vintage style bikini in retro striped fabric, designed by Sydney Holcomb from xoUda.
