Cross stitch interiors

After all the oohs and ahhs over Eline Pellinkhof’s gorgeous painted rose mural in the current issue of Mollie Makes, it got us thinking, what other inspiration is out there for DIY cross stitch interiors? So, we’ve tracked down some inspiration. What about this cushion – so easy you could do it yourself…

While Eline Pellinkhof’s rose mural may seem a little daunting for a first-time cross stitch painter, this beautiful cushion designed by Lucy from Craftberry Bush looks achievable. And you can find helpful tips on how to do it right here in on Lucy’s blog.

Here’s a completely different twist. This painting is very structured and grid like, but equally do-able from Grace and Light Studio

And for our final temptation, here’s a dream of a rug designed by Charlotte Lancelot. This wool rug is from the GAN range by Gandia Blasco and is based on a traditional rose cross stitch. Thick yarn woven through punched out felt gives an amazing contemporary effect. Stunning in close-up…

And amazing from a distance… we want one!

Oh, and just in case you are wanting to treat yourself, this rug is not yet on sale but is available to order at Wovenground and there will be samples to view in their King’s Road store at the end of March.
