Hannah’s definitely got a ‘style’. Nailing an award entry with her immediately recognisable fabrics, after spotting her entry on Pinterest the team were finding ways to work her products into the magazine – pre-awards! (See Mollie papers in issue 55.) Fast-forward a couple of months and there we were, at the Mollie Makes Handmade Awards, drooling over her fabric and printed stationery IRL. What we didn’t know, was that Hannah is as beauteous and genuine as she is talented. Come and meet her…

“Since winning the Mollie Makes Start Up Award, my illustration and design business has been developing in unexpected and exciting ways! Winning a stand at Crafty Fox Market in London was a fantastic opportunity to launch my product range, which went down great and gave me lots of new ideas and confidence. After having this terrific experience and exposure to my target audience I was able to exhibit at my first Trade Show in January – only 6 months after going freelance!

The Mollie Makes Handmade Awards day was so much fun and I met many inspiring creatives. Most of all, winning an Award and the MMHA day gave me confidence that people appreciate what I do – it helped me to find my feet in my first year of business.

Since June 2015, I’ve been working on various freelance projects from painting wall murals to designing scarves and having my first international stockist for my products in a lovely French store! I have also collaborated with Mollie Makes, having illustrations featured in their beautiful colouring books. Next I plan to create a collection of floral designs and continue to teach screen printing and textiles from my Edinburgh studio!”
