Goodbye October and Halloween and hellooo CHRISTMAS! November is a super busy month for us makers as it’s time to start prepping for those winter fairs and stitching up the Christmas gifts. Issue 112 has fully embraced the craziness of Christmas with 12 festive projects in a whole range of techniques. But you probably knew that already because even the cover, Hannah Cross’ crochet stocking of dreams, shows you the colourful vibe we’re going for this month.

Your TWO gifts!
112 comes with two, that’s right, two gifts. The first is yet another addition to the Mollie Makes animal kingdom, Manuela Trani‘s wintery pup. He’s completely 3D and with his fancy festive outfit is ready to go out and play in the Christmas snow (or if you’re in the UK, grey drizzle…). Everything you need to make man’s best friend (except a bit of black thread) comes with issue 112, so if you really are driving home for Christmas you can sew him on the go. Make sure you tag us in your pup pics on Instagram using #molliemakers.
Not only do you get a new little pal, issue 112 comes with a 2020 calendar. Designed by Becki Clark, this mini calendar will keep you on track making 2020 your most efficient year yet. Plus, every month comes with a beautiful and simple project giving you inspiration all year long. From scrunchies to macramé feathers (oh, and all the on sale dates of Mollie) this calendar will quickly become a staple in your craft room.
Fancy another free gift?
And the giving never ends. If you fancy subscribing to Mollie this month (or being a top pal and giving a subscription as a gift) you’ll get the choice between these two gifts. Choose between an Orla Kiely apron or a Wool and the Gang knitting set, both worth over £30! Subscribe here and get Mollie delivered right to your door.
Meet Vicky’s Donuts and have a peek in Sarah Matthews’ Christmassy home
What even is Christmas without delicious treats? We met up with Vicky’s Donuts and took a tour of her new shop, Big Shot, in London. From her Insta beginnings, Vicky explains how she’s grown her indie brand into one recognised by the stars, and how her love for the sweet stuff has never faded. Read our interview with her in issue 112.
Issue 112 also takes a tour of our fave paper designer, Sarah Louise Matthews‘, Christmassy home. Sarah has designed some festive decs for us before (remember issue 99 paper stars anyone?) so we were excited to see her paper creations displayed in her very own home. Trust us, you’re going to want to see her Christmas tree, we’ve never seen anything so impressive!
Your Christmas wallpaper
112 also includes eight gorgeous designs by the very talented Chloe Hall. Based in Leicester, we adore Chloe’s floral illustrations that are inspired by all the fruits, sprigs and colours of winter. Download Chloe’s print as a phone, tablet and desktop wallpaper here but to see them in their full beauty pick up a copy of 112. You could use them as very special gift wrap this Christmas.
