Issue 104 has landed and it’s got all the spring sewing vibes you could possibly want. The Great British Sewing Bee has got us all entranced in the office, especially after we interviewed Esme Young and Charlotte Newland! We decided to help you catch the sewing bug by giving you an amazing Tilly and the Buttons pattern gift worth £14.50 with 104. We also met former Sewing Bee contestant Rumana to talk about #sewincolour and diversity in the sewing community.
Issue 104 is also our ode to spring and with Sarah Jane-Hicks’ beautiful crochet wreath gracing the cover, we’re so ready to leave winter behind. Plus there’s a little needle punch lamb and a baby milestone blanket project, because spring is all about new life and new crafts. Of course, if you make any of the projects in 104, share them with us over on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. We never tire of seeing them, they put a little *spring* in our step… (get it, spring, rabbits?)
Keep on scrolling to find out what’s in your issue of 104 and make sure you pick up your own copy here. We wouldn’t want you to miss out, would we?

After we interviewed Tilly and the Buttons back in 2013, we knew we wanted to work with Tilly Walnes and her amazing brand. Then Sewing Bee started back up and we thought there’s no time like the present! Issue 104 comes with Tilly and the Buttons’ 2-in-1 Marigold pattern. Plus it has all the instructions, sizing and advice you’ll need to sew your own jumpsuit and peg leg trousers.
We’ve spoken in more detail about the patterns and materials over in our blog post. There’s also loads of handy links for beginner sewists in that post so head over for more info.
You might remember Lindsey, AKA @hellohydrangea, from her giveaway and takeover of the Mollie Instagram account. After she shared her new book, Welcome to Weaving, with us we just had to have her back to show you her boho modern workspace. Filled with colourful yarn and all the texture you can dream of, it’s here that Lindsey makes her fibre art creations that we love so much. Pick up a copy of issue 104 to learn more about Lindsey’s life, craft and business.
Your new background
Issue 104 is also a nod to the German art, architecture and design school, Bauhaus. 2019 marks its 100 year anniversary and we’ve dedicated a full feature to its iconic honour inside the mag. Therefore, we thought it’s only right that we give you some Bauhaus-inspired papers to frame and admire.
The eight pull-out papers are designed by the ever-so talented Abbey Withington, who managed to capture the trend in all its glory. Here’s one of Abbey’s papers as a wallpaper so you can make your tech look as statement as your home.
