Issue 111’s gift was designed by our very own Lindsey Newns! Crochet up your own retro-style ornaments and use them as the ultimate winter decoration. They’d look so fab attached to presents, hanging on the tree or strung up as a garland across the mantelpiece. Plus we’re super excited because the crochet hook that comes with the kit is sparkly! Can you get any more festive?
Meet Laura Jane Williams and Juliet and John from John Arbon Textiles
Every issue we meet some truly amazing humans and this month is no different. First up, we took a tour of John Arbon textiles and spoke to its founders John Arbon and Juliet Sensicle. The pair develop and make all their own yarns and fibre tops in South Molton and their journey from music to textiles is a fascinating one. Have a read of their beginnings, yarns and creative advice in 111.
Next, we took a tour around Laura Jane-Williams’ home. Her eclectic and maximalist space shows off her amazing love of art. You’re going to want to see her collection so pick up a copy of 111 here.
