Great tips!  I make lots of amigurumi, and work from a sketch book.  I draw an animal or individual and then break that creature down into base shapes (cones, ovals, tubes, spheres, etc), then I can start to make my creation a reality.

I think most of a creatures personality or loveableness (I am inventing words today) comes from their face, so my biggest tip would be to take time to get the features placement right.

And with all projects, don&#039;t forget yarn is very forgiving!  You can easily pull your piece apart and start over if it isn&#039;t going so well!
