If you’re in Cornwall this weekend, head on down to the very lovely Port Eliot Festival! In amongst the films, food and live performances will be some free creative workshops from Anthropologie.
If you’re near Hampstead tonight, tomorrow or over the weekend, head on down to Oak Studio for some crafty fun and retail therapy. The very lovely Zeena Shah has set up a pop-up shop there, which is also hosting free knitting, drawing and screen-printing workshops.
Ahoy there, craftsters! The Seaside Sisters are hosting a fabulous week of workshops and exhibitions at Craft Central, EC1. Activities include Gocco screen printing, how to embroider hankies and tea-towel printing.
Bring a touch of glamour to your kitchen by creating your very own pinny at The Sewing Shop
If you’re near Clapham tomorrow evening, you may want to take a wander down to The Papered Parlour for an evening of crafting and shopping. Organised by {papermash}, home of beautiful printed paper products from independent designers, there will be plenty of products on offer and discounts a-plenty.
We’re extra excited for the weekend this Friday, because tomorrow there’s going to be a great Studio Sale on at Bayford Street, East London. The event will be packed with designer makers including A Alicia, Hazel Stark, Nous Vous and many more. It’s a great chance to browse lots of handmade talent in one place, and the perfect way to kick off the weekend!

We’ve found somewhere we’d like to go, because it’s rather wonderful and eccentrically vintage… We just can’t keep this one a secret, even though we tried!

To celebrate its summer exhibition, British Design 1948-2012: Innovation in the modern age, the museum opened its doors last month for Britain Is Making It, a special late-night event of workshops and talks exploring the uniquely British approach to making and creating…
One year old! Who’d have thought it? Here we are, one year on, 14 issues in, and we’ve come a long way from those adorable (positively iconic) crochet apple jackets. And, we’ve loved every minute. In honour of the occasion, we thought we’d treat ourselves to a selection of rather amazingly sparkling and scrumptious cupcakes. Well, someone’s got to do it. Wish you were here! Hope you don’t mind, but we’ll tuck in on your behalf too..
