Our friends over at BerinMade have kindly given us this special paper gem printable to share with Mollie Makes readers. All you need to make these festive decorations is a printer, thick paper, a hole punch, glue, stickers and twine. Use them to deck the halls or your tree!
What’s more, if you’re hosting Christmas dinner at yours this year, a set of paper gems would look stylin’ as placecards. You could even fill them up with sweet treats or mini gifts!
Making these paper gems? We’d love to see! Use #BerinMadeBauble to show us your makes.
How to make a paper gem
Foil stickers (optional)
Cut out the top and bottom templates along the white dotted lines.
Punch two small holes where the dotted circles are marked on the template.
Use the twine holding these cards to thread through the holes.
Fold along the solid white lines to crease.
Apply a small amount of glue along the glue tabs.
Assemble the top part of the gem by first glueing Tab A around to make the tall cone shape. Then, repeat the same on the bottom template with Tab B.
Then, tuck the bottom template into the top template by the rest of the tabs.
Finish the ornament by decorating it. We used foil stickers!
Tie the twine at the top to secure.
