Fill your world with crochet flowers

July is a miserable month round these parts. As I look out of the window at Mollie HQ the wind is blowing a hoolie and it’s raining cats and dogs.  Ah good old British summertime! Thank goodness issue 3 of Mollie Makes is a little ray of sunshine, with its bright sunny cover and kaleidoscope of crochet flowers making us feel all warm inside. We are really pleased to be joining forced with Carmen Heffernan for this months cover project. Carmen’s petals make the perfect cover shot and inside the mag she not only shows us how to create a bouquet of beauties but butterflies and leaves too! 2011-07-small-flower-1024x768.jpg

Creativity runs through Carmen’s bones – by day she is a sign painter and by night she gets hooking, making lots of lovely blooms to sell in her Etsy shop. Have you tried out the flower project? If so what have you made them for? We love seeing our readers projects on Facebook and Flickr so make sure you post yours up there soon! 2011-07-carmen-flowers-2.jpg

So stunning, these would make a lovely table decoration at a wedding. 2011-07-carmen-flowers.jpg

Maybe the bride could hold her very own crochet bouquet and the groom a corsage!
